Yes article marketing works very well. I too have seen a big increase in traffic and profits with this type of promotion.
Remember once you post your article to the top directories it will stay there forever. This means backlinks and future traffic.
Compare that to paid advertising…once you stop paying it’s gone, disappeared, over, kaput!

You can improve your websites visability by article marketing but I wouldn’t stoop there. You should use as many link building techinques as possible.
